1. TWO WAYS TO ENTER:
- ONLINE: Beginning 12:00:01 AM (ET) on 11/23/08 through 11:59:59 PM (ET) on 12/27/08, visit www.famousfootwear.com and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the entry form and enter the sweepstakes. Limit one entry per valid email address per day. If more than one entry is received per person per day, only the first such entry received will be eligible. Independent judging organization's clock is the official time-keeping device for this sweepstakes.
- IN STORE: On an Official Entry Form, available while supplies last on special displays at participating retailers or on a plain piece of 3” x 5” paper, hand print your complete name, street address (no P.O. Boxes), city, state, zip code, date of birth (mm/dd/yyyy), plus (optional) daytime and evening telephone numbers. Deposit your entry in the receptacle available at your participating retailer by close of business on 12/27/08. Limit one entry deposited per person, per day. No mechanically reproduced entries permitted. Not responsible for lost, late, illegible, mutilated, misdirected entries or entries not received in time for the random drawing.
2. RANDOM DRAWING: A random drawing will be conducted on or about 2/2/09 from among all eligible online and in-store deposited entries received, by D.L. Blair, Inc., an independent judging organization, whose decisions are final on all matters relating to this offer. Odds of winning will depend upon the number of eligible entries received.
3. PRIZES & APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE: (20) Grand Prizes – Twelve (12) pairs of DC Shoes, awarded in the form of 12 certificates per winner, each redeemable for a free pair of DC Shoes (up to $65 per pair) at a participating Famous Footwear retail location or at www.famousfootwear.com (certificates expire 3/31/10 and are not redeemable for cash) (ARV: $780 per prize). Certificates may be subject to additional terms and conditions as specified on certificates. Certificates are non-transferable, cannot be used toward prior purchases or any credit balance, and will not be replaced if lost, stolen, expired or damaged. If any shoes selected are under $65 in value, no compensation will be provided for unused portion of certificate(s) nor will any unused portion be carried over as a balance. Prizes consist of only the items specifically listed as part of the prize. Limit one prize per household.
4. GENERAL RULES: Open only to legal residents of the 50 United States and Washington, DC, who are 13 or older at time of entry. Employees of Brown Shoe Company, Famous Footwear, DC Shoes, their affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies and their immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of each are not eligible. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Void where prohibited by law. Potential winners (or parent/legal guardian if potential winner is deemed a minor in his/her state of residence) will be required to complete and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Release of Liability, Prize Acceptance Form and, if legally permissible, a Publicity Release within 10 days of attempted delivery of same. Noncompliance within this time period or return of any prize/prize notification as undeliverable will result in disqualification and an alternate winner may be selected. Winners will be notified by mail within approximately 14 days of random drawing. No substitution or transfer of prize by winner permitted. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prize of equal or greater value. All taxes and fees (where applicable) are the sole responsibility of winner. By accepting prize, winners (or parent/legal guardian if winner is deemed a minor in his/her state of residence) agree to hold Sponsor, its directors, officers, employees and assigns, harmless against any and all claims and liability arising out of use of prize. Winners (or parent/legal guardian if winner is deemed a minor in his/her state of residence) assume all liability for any injury or damage caused, or claimed to be caused, by participation in this promotion or use or redemption of any prize. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission for the Sponsor and its agencies to use winners’ names and/or likenesses for purposes of advertising and trade without further compensation, unless prohibited by law. Entrants (or parent/legal guardian if entrant is deemed a minor in his/her state of residence) agree to release, discharge and hold harmless Sponsor, its directors, officers, employees and assigns, harmless from and against any and all liability and damages. By participating in this promotion, entrants (or parent/legal guardian if entrant is deemed a minor in his/her state of residence) agree to be bound by the Official Rules and the judges’ decisions which are final. In the event there is a discrepancy or inconsistency between disclosures or other statements contained in any sweepstakes materials and the terms and conditions of the Official Rules, the Official Rules shall prevail, govern and control. All material submitted becomes the sole property of Sponsor and will not be returned. Sponsor not responsible for any typographical or other error in the printing of the offer, administration of the sweepstakes or in the announcement of the prize(s). In no event will more than the stated number of prizes be awarded.
